This weekend

We had a hectic weekend. The kids had basketball games, then I had games at UCO I had to announce at, then UCO had a wrestling match Sat night, then another wrestling match Sunday afternoon. I didn't get much of a weekend. Both kids played well on Saturday. Chance loves to play defense, he can score at will, but doesn't. When I tell him, "Chance, go score" he drbble down and scores, but if I don't specifically tell him to, he would rather pass it off. He takes pride in putting the clamps on the opponents best player.
Reagan too plays good defense, and enoys being the stopper. Her coach routinely assigns the other teams best player for her to guard. She scores some every game, and that makes mom cheer, but dad likes the defense (even though I dont play it to well when I play).

Beautiful Days

We have had the most beautiful weather the past 3 days. It is the middle of winter and I wore shorts outside and worked in the yard. Big thanks to Kelly Caviness and Caviness landscape and Design for letting me have their leftover sod from the Home and Garden show. So, I laid sod Monday evening.
Reagan and Chance both had basketball games this weekend. Both played hard and did well. Chance was our defensive stopper. He shut down this guy who has been tearing up the league. Reagan had a nice bucket and an assist (which dad was very proud of) in her game. Assists are pretty rare in the 7 year old league, alot of dribbling and not alot of passing.
Mimi came to watch the kids games, and we had a nice visit.
This week is mostly work, so I'm already ready for the weekend.

Back home

I am back home today after a quick trip to Texas. My business was long and dull, but necessary. After work yesterday I went over to Ft. Worth to see Gran. She is doing well, and was very alert and interactive for about 2 hours. Just as she started to wind down, Aunt Suzie arrived and we had a nice visit. I went over to Suzie's house and got the tour. I returned to the Edmond/Guthrie/Arcadia tri cities area at about 11:30 pm.
By the way, the Four Season Las Colinas is where I stayed.....very pish posh. I'm glad it was on somebody else's dime. Let's just say I got turn down service for the first time in my life. It's not all it is cracked up to be. But, the pillow mints were divine according to Beth (I don't do mints so I brought them home to her). No, I didn't steal towells, or robes (very plush), or anything like that.

This is Chance when we went to Maui in Feb. of 2004. We had this small black sand beach all to ourselves. Awesome!
