Springtime

It is a beautiful spring day here in central Oklahoma! I hope eveyone is well. The Roth family is rolling along nicely thank you very much. Reagan's soccer season ended this past weekend. It was fun, and a learning experiance for all involved. Beth and Chance have started going to a new karate school, they both have black belts in Yung Wa Ru karate (Chinese kick boxing style), and are now moving on to a different discipline (a Japanese style). I am still very busy, working what amounts to three jobs. I'm not sure how long I will be able to ( or even want to) keep up this pace, but the $$ part of it has been helpful to us. I won't do this past the end of 2005, that I know for sure.
We have started making plans for our big family vacation for 2005, which will be in the fall to Wyoming/Idaho. I've wanted to go to Yellowstone for a long time, and now we are going. I'm sure that you will see numerous blogs about this topic in the coming months.

The really good news is that we think that we may have found a church that fits our idea of what a church should be; or at least it slightly resembles what our idea of what church should be. I'm having lunch with the pastor tomorrow, and I don't think he has any idea what he is getting into. Beth and I love the Lord, but we think people have ruined His church, and are not shy about saying so. So, I will probably ask him some hard questions about his vision for the local body, and how he sees this local body impacting the "church with a capitol C" as I heard it called recently. We'll see. They have already asked about me leading worship, and they barely know me, so that is kind of scary.
Have a GREAT day!

April 15

It is tax day, even though my wonderful wife who's degree is in accounting got our taxes done weeks ago. April 15 is a good day for me. Today marks my 3 year anniversary with the Lynn Health Science Institute. The Lord really blessed me with this job, and I am very thankful. I had the honor of working with some great people here, some I still work with and others have moved on. This job has enable me to provide for my family in ways that I didn't think possible. So, April 15 is a good day for me.
We have a pretty laid back weekend planned. I am probably going to work outside most of the weekend, and try to get ready for summer. I'm not one of those people who's yard look like a putting green, but I do want my yard to be presentable and not an eyesore. I am going to try and get started on a new project soon. I have a few little things to finish up on my barn project, but after that is wrapped up I'm going to start prep work to pour concrete for a slab for the kids to play basketball on. We have a small, paved area where they can shoot hoops, or rollerblade, or whatever; but it is very small, and uneven. So, I want to extend it a little.
So, thats the latest.
God is good, all the time!
